NABFAM Accreditation of Mediation Academy's 80h Family Law Mediation course

Updated: Jun 13

It is with great pleasure that we announce the official accreditation of Mediation Academy SA’s 80-hour Family Law Mediation Course by the National Accreditation Board of Family Mediators (NABFAM).

Established in 2010, NABFAM serves the South African mediation industry as a leading regulatory body for family mediators. It sets strict standards through its code of conduct and regulates both the practice and training of mediators in family law mediation. In line with international best practices, Mediation Academy SA proudly makes all relevant accreditation certificates and information publicly available. The auspicious event marks our third accreditation, alongside the ADR International Register and the South African Association for Mediators (SAAM).

Convert Your 64h Qualification to the Accredited 80h Family Law Mediation Course

If you already hold the 64-hour Family Law Mediation qualification, you may now convert your qualification into the fully accredited 80-hour Family Law Mediation qualification. This conversion requires the successful completion of the 16-hour Live Role Plays Add-on, which includes mediating a minimum of three scenarios. During these sessions, candidates are assessed by two SAAM-accredited assessors, ensuring full compliance with national and international mediation standards.

This important milestone marks Mediation Academy SA’s third official accreditation, alongside the ADR International Register and the South African Association for Mediators (SAAM). This further strengthens our commitment to providing world-class family mediation training in South Africa.
