Mediation Academy at Global Conflict and Dispute Resolution Conference

Earlier this month, Mediation Academy course presenter Barry Greyvenstein presented a 2 hour slot at the 2021 Global Conflict and Dispute Resolution Workshop hosted by Dehli Metropolitan Education (DME).

As part of an extensive six-day workshop, Mediation Academy represented South Africa by presenting a session on Mediation, Models, and the Mediator. Nineteen presenters from eight different timezones presented workshops covering a variety of topics such as Mediation and Disputes in outer-space, Mediation and Game Theory, Mediation and Rule of Law, among others.

"It was an honour to present to a class of 100+ participants that included mediators, senior counsel, academicians, and entrepreneurs from across the world," says Barry. Speakers at the event included Honourable Justice Kurian Joseph, a former Judge in the Supreme Court of India, Dr. Kevin Brown, Ombuds Consultant with the United Nations, and Dr. Mark Umbreit, Professor at the University of Minnesota and Founding Director of the Center for Restorative Justice and Peacemaking.

DME is a premier educational institute affiliated with Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University in New Delhi, India. DME imparts knowledge in the fields of Law, Management and Journalism. Research Cell, DME is an institutional level committee dedicated to facilitate and aid research and work towards the development of academic research skills.
