How to Use Moodle: A Beginner’s Guide with Images

Mediation Academy recently introduced Moodle as our new training platform, and we're here to help you make the transition with a step-by-step guide to using the new platform.


Step 1: Navigate to lms.mediationacademy.co.za.

Step 2: Log in using your Google Account, or create a new user account

Step 3: Click on "My Courses" and choose the course you enrolled for

Step 4: Watch the Course Introduction videos

Step 5: Navigate to the module of your choice

Step 6: Work through the training material


Moodle will keep track of where you last stopped, so you can continue hassle-free.

Step 7: Complete the online Assessments and Exams


Assessments and Exams are done online, with the option to review your answers. Moodle will automatically mark the task as "Completed" when you have passed.

Step 8: Once you have passed all of the Assessments and Exams, you may navigate to "Final Exam"


Note that you will only be permitted to take the Final Exam if all the other modules are marked as "Completed". You will only have 3 attempts to pass the Final Exam and you will not be able to review your answers from previous attempts.

Step 9: Upon passing the Final Exam, you will be prompted to fill out the Client Satisfaction Survey & Request for Certificate


Upon submission, your coursework will be reviewed and we will issue your certificate.
