As per the standards set by the National Accreditation Board of Family Mediators. Our 80-hour course covers every component of NABFAM's minimum training requirements. Additional modules include training on deliverables and practice management/planning that are considered indispensable to new mediators.
 
(b) Practicals
Practicals = Coaching + Formal Assessment
We meet via video call and work in small groups. Role-plays are assessed and feedback provided throughout. Please book this leg of the course in advance by sending an email to info@mediationacademy.co.za.
 
(c) Platinum support
Up to 12 hours of 1-on-1 Tutoring plus free access to weekly live Q&A sessions to help you build your practice.
 
(d) 80 Hours of self-paced studies
Study the 64-hour theory component at your own pace, then join us for 16 hours of practicals. The course has a study window of up to 6 months. You get lifetime access to course content, including course updates.
 
(e) 5x Coaching Sessions
Up to 5x 4-hour Coaching sessions to practice your mediation skills before the formal assessment
 
(f) 18x Mentoring sessions
18x Mentoring sessions of 40mins each to help you plan your career and get settled in as a professional mediator. Bank any unused time to spend in strategy sessions at the end of the course.
 
(g) Post-course Strategy session
Launch your mediation practice with the help of industry veterans to create first drafts of the following documents:
Strategic Plan
Vision & Mission Statements
Business Plan
Competitor Analysis
Rates Table
 
(h) 4x Client Co-Mediation sessions
Let a veteran mediator co-mediate your cases post-qualification in 4x 1-hour sessions. Sessions must be redeemed within 12 months of course registration.
 
(i) Supervision certificate
Work with top accredited supervisors to attain professional certification with a national or international Recognised Mediator Organisation (RMO). All standard costs are included, but additional remedial lessons/submissions are excluded. Graduates must pass the supervision program to receive the supervision certificate.
