Breaking News: Travel Permits now available to Family Law Mediators

Family Law Mediators across the country are returning to work following the publication of a Government Notice by the Minister of Justice and Correctional Services.

The Government Notice (dated 3 May 2020) lists "All uncontested civil actions or motions" as an essential/permitted service under Section B.10 of Annexure 1.

Mediators accredited by the South African Association of Mediators (SAAM) and the ADR International Register can now contact the organisation under which they hold their accreditation to obtain a travel permit via email.

We implore all mediators to continue using video-calling to mediate matters as far as possible, and to travel only when unavoidable.
